Spain tennis holidays are tennis retreats for adults on the coast in 2024. Take the warm Spanish sun, a cool breeze, and that satisfying thwack from the sound of ball to racket and put that on repeat! Spain tennis holidays aren’t just a vacation spot. They’re a tennis retreat that mixes daily coaching, friendly competition & relaxation in a great travel destination.
Whether you’re playing in Gran Canaria South for the Winter or soaking up the cosmopolitan vibes in Mallorca, Spain be ready for constant sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and an international tennis scene.
We’re here to improve your tennis game in a week and it’s easy to do when you’re smiling & pumped up! Spain affects most adult tennis players in the best possible way. So if you’re ready for noticeable improvement in a week, stick around.
Gran Canaria South … Sunniest place in Spain for Winter 2023-2024
As winter encroaches on us tennis players and pushes us inside or worse, outdoor tennis in gloves & puffer jackets on cold Winter nights, consider perpetual sunshine in Gran Canaria. No need to worry about rain ruining your game here. Maybe a gust of wind here or there but this should help with that.
Gran Canaria off-court
If you’re visiting Gran Canaria South don’t forget it’s culture haven up north. The vibrant culture of Vegueta, the historic quarter of Las Palmas lets you meander through narrow cobbled streets, enjoying its colonial architecture, art galleries and great shopping. Local tapas at local price points are even better!
You can enjoy a cultural day by bus from the south of the island to the north in relaxing fashion very easily by bus..
Price: Bus fares are budget-friendly and great ways to get around the island. In early 2022, a one-way ticket to the north to Vegueta cost around €3-4.
Route: You can catch bus number 30 from Playa del Ingles to Las Palmas and then transfer to another bus or walk to Vegueta. The ride takes 30-40 minutes.
In your own neighborhood of Gran Canaria South, hit the dunes of Maspalomas. These golden sands stretch as far as your eyes can see. They offer a surreal backdrop for a sunset walk or an adrenaline-pumping buggy ride. Trust me, it’s a whole different ball game via buggy but worth the ride.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, a hike in the stunning Barranco de Guayadeque is a must trek!
This rugged ravine engulfs caves now turned into cozy restaurants. These jaw-dropping views, hearty Canarian cuisine, and a hike let you appreciate the island’s natural beauty.
In winter, Gran Canaria flaunts an average temperature of around 18-24°C (64-75°F) making it a smart winter escape! It sheds an average of 6 to 7 hours of sunshine per day. That’s great news for your off-court jaunts knowing they’ll be just as bright as your on-court game.
