Many players who visit Costa del Tennis already play club leagues and tournaments. Others are re-entering the sport with great excitement to be the best on court they can be. And others have been bitten by the love bug for the first time. If people take it seriously then so should we.
Both singles & doubles players need to rely on technical prowess, consistency and proper balance on court. They need to know high & low percentage tennis and how to make smart moves within points.
Also important is which serve to use & why in order to get the point started. How all players should be scouted – yes, even for fun! And understand how court surfaces respond differently. Some demand patience, others not so much. Lastly, keeping the ball in play is king!
The ideal way to have the best time on court is to be able to keep the ball in play. Increase your confidence, self coach yourself out of bad situations and get a solid workout, also, very fun factors!
Want to hit the ball as hard as you can? Know how to keep it in play. Want to stay healthy? Practice the correct technique. Want to start to win games? Play matches and get use to losing first.
Know that you’ve entered into a lifetime sport and it’s the greatest game out there. You’re one of the lucky ones!
Adult Tennis – So. Much. Talent.
Coaching adults is a speciality. One we love! It’s true some have limited time but their love of the game is proven by their decision to be out there.
We intend to keep court ratios small 1:3 being ideal – no more than 4. The more balls the better!
Many times I’ve seen too many people on court, drills with little direction & fewer corrections being made.
The work on court during a tennis camp or tennis holiday has to get done in a short amount of time with a result your happy & respond to. Finding an individual connection with players is necessary to make the goal happen by weeks end.
When an adult player has an aha moment it’s pure Gold!
They have different learning styles, levels of athleticism, and sometimes mental blocks. All of these varying characteristics lead to exciting challenges and most times we’re successful. Most importantly they come back and we now call them friends.
Seriously, give an adult a new found confidence to join a club, play social tennis or feel healthy & in control of their game and somehow you’ve given them a new leash on life. There is no better reward.
And while we love our adults our junior coaches love their juniors.
Junior Tennis – Your Vibe Attracts your Tribe
In Mallorca we offer a small intense international boarding academy. It’s no joke. The Director / Owner doesn’t bother with heavy Marketing as he is a purist. He is the Coach to 2 World #1 players and you’ll know why from the moment you meet him.
It’s all about the tennis and so should the player be! All levels are welcome but all must arrive ready to train like a professional player.
Barcelona is an incredible city. It’s a key reason we’re there. The majority of competitive junior players compete for National points in Barcelona every Summer during the month of July. Barcelona’s top juniors train together here in this one spot.
The club is terrific. Private, friendly, family oriented, and literally has everything on top of being very social.
Visiting juniors have a true Spanish tennis experience. It offers host families but not boarding.
The good news! It’s set in Barcelona proper, so families accompanying players get to see players compete during the week while visiting the city.
Groups who travel together with coaches; high school teams, club teams or training teams take advantage of the competition weeks in July. They find new friendships, cultures, languages & even enjoy flaunting a bit of country pride.
Diversity rules in Barcelona!
At the end of the day, it still comes down to human being. Pick the good ones and good things follow!
If you’re not building growth, then what?
