Here’s some info you’ll find helpful in deciding why you should play tennis in Spain, but first let me ask you… have you played the red clay yet? Considered how fun it would feel to play live ball alongside other playing styles? Or truly traveled to improve your game? If so … Why Tennis in Spain? If […]
Tennis Holidays - Your Fast Track to a Damn Good Time Under the Sun
I know you’re in search of tennis holidays with sunny skies, beautiful landscapes and a break from the ordinary life back home.
As we get older personal recreational time slows way down. But we still need it the same like when we were kids.
A good Tennis Holiday ‘gets this’. It makes sure you feel inspired and energized with the right mix of downtime.
When it wraps up, you’ll know you not only improved on court but returned home feeling “the best version of me I can be”.
The Real Deal happiness
If you’ve ever found yourself really happy after a good steady ‘hit’ you know endorphins are the real deal.
Those happy little critters block pain, reduce stress and depression.
Chocolate, Sex or Tennis … Your dopamine Decision!?
You could eat chocolate and have sex. But you can also play tennis to achieve the much-anticipated release.
Let’s keep it PG and stick with tennis.
I’ve had some of my best highs after a crushing hour of hitting against a strong player. Or a fast-paced doubles game with lots of shot varieties and the right opponents.
Your tennis holidays naturally feel collaborative and endear you to others..after all, you’re playing in a group and hopefully seeing new faces.
And as long as court ratios are small, you’ll hit a lot of balls.
Your daily social dynamic promotes laughter and believe me when I say, ‘this can helps any learning curve’.
When you’re more relaxed and not taking every shot so seriously like your life depended on it, you learn faster.
Lessons stick with you when you receive them with a calm and relaxed perception.
The fact you’re visiting and spending your tennis holiday in a beautiful place close to the sea adds a whole new dimension.
Tennis Holidays will give you new adults to play with, different playing styles and matches to stretch your game.
It’s normal wanting to raise the bar both personally and on court, don’t you think? I’ve yet to meet an adult player at any level not eager to improve something.
And keep in mind, you’re playing for a concentrated period of time.
You’ll play between 10 - 20 hours of tennis during the week and we need to keep you healthy & avoid injury or aggravating anything that ails you.
This is the #1 thing we’ll correct for - your form! So those repetitive important motions stay healthy ones. Stress free on muscles & tendons while swinging with fluidity. Cracking balls while signing all the way to the winning line ;)
Try not to go into your tennis holiday with a ‘weekend warrior’ mindset.
Rome wasn’t built in a day. And neither was a topspin forehand or kick serve!
You should use the intensive training to take your game to the next level, but you’ll have up & down moments emotionally.
I’m not a big fan of shit and giggle tennis so during my programs I truly focus on the instruction during my tennis coaching holidays.
The rest comes naturally - fun, laughter and long-lasting international friends.
Your travel experience should be easy.
You’d be surprised how only a few days away will recharge your energy, mood and health in big ways.
You’ll feel happier, calmer and more energized for daily life back at home.
How do I know?
I see an influx of players and I follow the WhatsApp group chats that continue on throughout the year ;)
Travel, tennis and other players make people happy.
Finding a coach abroad with high doses of emotional intelligence can enhance your game.
But putting players together in a fun sunny place seems to be what really makes the trip one for the memory books.
People need people.
Connecting players to their happy place is what makes great coaches.
Here’s solid advice for your next tennis holiday!
Before you set out on your next tennis holiday be completely honest about your desires - on court and off.
Now let’s get you playing in 2018!
